There are, unfortunately, many fraudulent websites and scammers claiming to offer support for updating devices to TomTom customers online. These websites are not affiliated with TomTom, and we always urge you to be cautious if people claiming to represent TomTom are reaching out to you without you first requesting it, or of any websites that are not the official TomTom site.
TomTom is taking this matter very seriously and we are doing our best to stop these platforms.
Should you be contacted by someone claiming to represent TomTom, who after offering to support you tries to redirect you to a "specialist" - do not provide your credit card details or make any payments if you are not sure of if you're dealing with the official TomTom website.
If you have encountered a fraudulent website or been targeted by a scamming attempt, we recommend you do the following:
- Report any fraudulent activity to the relevant authorities. Click this link to find out more.
- If you have made a payment, report this to your credit card company immediately.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us .
