Windows 10 & 8

Uninstall TomTom HOME
- To completely exit TomTom HOME, do the following:
- Press the Windows key+D to go to the Windows Desktop screen.
- Locate the TomTom HOME icon in the taskbar notification area.
Tip ; click on the little triangle to the left off the notification area to see all icons. - Right-click the TomTom HOME icon
- Click Exit .
- Press the Windows key to go to the Windows Start screen.
- Type Uninstall .
- Click Uninstall TomTom HOME 2 .
The TomTom uninstaller begins. - Click Yes to confirm.
- Click Yes if the User Account Control asks if you want to proceed.
Alternatively you can use Programs and Features (Windows 10) / Add or Remove Programs (Windows 8) in the Control Panel to remove TomTom HOME.
- To completely exit TomTom HOME, do the following:

Remove TomTom HOME application data
- Press the Windows key+R to open the Windows Run dialog.
- Type %appdata%
- Click OK .
The Windows file explorer opens in "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\". - Right-click the TomTom folder and click Delete .
- Click on AppData in the address bar and open the folder Local .
- Right-click the TomTom folder and click Delete .

Backup saved data
- Press the Windows key+E to open the Windows file explorer.
- Click Documents under This PC (Windows 10) / Libraries (Windows 8) in the Navigation pane.
- Right-click the TomTom folder and click Rename .
- Rename the folder to TomTom Old .

Windows 7 & Vista

Uninstall TomTom HOME
- To completely exit TomTom HOME, do the following:

macOS (Apple)

Uninstall TomTom HOME
- Click and hold the HOME icon in the Dock, then choose Quit to close it.
- In the Finder menu, click Go → Applications .
- Drag the TomTom HOME application to your Trash.

Remove TomTom HOME application data
- In your user folder, go to Library → Application Support .
- Drag the TomTom HOME folder to the trash.

Delete Downloads folder
- In the Finder menu, click Go → Home .
- In the Finder menu, click Edit → Copy "TomTom" .
- Click on the Desktop and then, in the Finder menu, click Edit → Paste Item .
This ensures that you have a backup of items you downloaded in the Download folder using TomTom HOME. - In the Documents folder, open TomTom → HOME.
- Drag the Downloads folder to the trash or select the Downloads folder, click File → Move to Trash .
