If Tom by TomTom loses its connection to your phone while you're driving, it beeps and flashes white. If this happens, try these steps when it's safe to do so.
Update Tom and the app
Make sure both Tom and the TomTom app are up to date.
Check your phone settings
Turn off battery saver or any setting that limits background activity for the TomTom app. This helps keep the connection stable.
Charge Tom
Check Tom's battery in the TomTom app: go to Settings > Tom. If the battery is low, you'll see red lights at the bottom of Tom. Charge it before you drive.
Keep your phone close
Keep your phone within a few metres (about ten feet) of Tom for a stable connection.
