To receive updates and use TomTom services, your navigation device has to be linked to a TomTom account. If you do not have an account, use this link to create one.
Wi-Fi
Adding your device using Wi-Fi:
Follow these steps to add a new device to your TomTom account:
- From the main menu tap Settings.
- Tap TomTom account.
- Enter your username and password.
Your device is now added to your account.
Adding your device to a different account:
To link your device to a different account, make sure your new email address is registered with TomTom.
You need to change the email address on your device to link to a different account. To remove an older email address from your device, you need to factory reset the device. Go to Settings from the main menu and then System. Tap Reset device, and on the next screen, tap Reset.
Once the factory reset is done, follow the above steps again to link the device with a new email address.
Note: All your saved favourites and POIs are deleted during the factory reset.
MyDrive Connect
Adding a device using MyDrive Connect:
To link your device to your TomTom account, follow these steps:
- Install MyDrive Connect on your computer. To download and install click Installing MyDrive Connect.
- Connect the device directly to the computer using the cable provided with the device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add device.
Note: You can add up to 10 devices to your account. To add another device, click My Devices.
Adding your device to a different account:
To link your device to a different account, make sure your new email address is registered with TomTom.
Then log in with your new email address to the MyDrive Connect application and follow the same steps to link the device.
