Uninstalling TomTom HOME

Detailed steps

• Windows 10/8
• Windows 7 & Vista
• Windows XP
• macOS

Windows 10 & 8

1. To completely exit TomTom HOME, do the following:
   1. Press the Windows key+D to go to the Windows Desktop screen.
   2. Locate the TomTom HOME icon in the taskbar notification area.
      Tip ; click on the little triangle to the left off the notification area to see all icons.
   3. Right-click the TomTom HOME icon
   4. Click Exit .
2. Press the Windows key to go to the Windows Start screen.
3. Type Uninstall .
4. Click Uninstall TomTom HOME 2 .
   The TomTom uninstaller begins.
5. Click Yes to confirm
6. Click Yes if the User Account Control asks if you want to proceed.

Alternatively you can use Programs and Features (Windows 10) / Add or Remove Programs (Windows 8) in the Control Panel to remove TomTom HOME.

Windows 7 & Vista

1. To completely exit TomTom HOME, do the following:
   1. Locate the TomTom HOME icon in the taskbar notification area.
      Tip ; click on the little triangle to the left off the notification area to see all icons.
   2. Right-click the TomTom HOME icon
   3. Click Exit .
2. Click on the Start button and go to All Programs → TomTom → Uninstall TomTom HOME 2
3. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the software.
4. Click Yes if the User Account Control asks if you want to proceed.
5. TomTom HOME uninstalls.

Alternatively you can use Add or Remove Programs in the Contol Panel to remove TomTom HOME.

Windows XP

1. To completely exit TomTom HOME, do the following:
   1. Locate the TomTom HOME icon in the taskbar notification area.
      Tip ; click on the little triangle to the left off the notification area to see all icons.
   2. Right-click the TomTom HOME icon
   3. Click Exit .
2. Click on the Start button and go to All Programs → TomTom → Uninstall TomTom HOME 2 .
3. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the software.
4. TomTom HOME uninstalls.

macOS (Apple)

1. Click and hold the HOME icon in the Dock, then choose Quit to close it.
2. In the Finder menu, click Go → Applications .
3. Drag the TomTom HOME application to your Trash.
