Every day, at TomTom, we work very hard to bring you the best navigation experience ever. A big part of this work is to continuously improve the quality of the maps, services, and the software on which your navigation device functions.
After receiving user feedback and noticing a very limited TomTom/IFTTT user base, IFTTT support will be discontinued by the 31st of December 2021.
How will this affect you?
TomTom GO Premium and TomTom GO Supreme devices will no longer support IFTTT Services, which means any applets you have connected to these devices will no longer work. Other than this, the devices will continue to work as before, and no other functionality will be affected by this update.
What will happen to your data?
The collection and processing of personal data is independently managed by both parties through your separate accounts with the respective party. No personal data is shared between TomTom and IFTTT.
Data that has been received by your TomTom device through the use of an IFTTT applet (e.g., an address from your Google calendar/contacts) is not stored by either party. Addresses that have previously been added to your favourites can be managed or deleted directly on your TomTom device.
Want to stop using IFTTT altogether? You can delete your data on your IFTTT profile with the “delete my account” button or exercise your GDPR right to erasure and make a formal request to IFTTT directly to be forgotten. Before deleting your account, you can export your IFTTT account data through your user profile on the IFTTT website or mobile app. Read more about this in the IFTTT Privacy Policy
