The steps on how to reset your device back to factory settings depend on the type of navigation device you have.
Note : Resetting your device removes all your saved places and settings, including your language, voice, and warning settings.
Steps for devices:
Carminat TomTom LIVE, Carminat TomTom, Mazda Navigation System NB1 LIVE
- Select Change preferences in the Main Menu.
- Select Reset factory settings . Confirm that you wish to proceed with the reset.
- Select your preferred settings, then wait for a valid GPS signal.
Steps for devices:
GO x50 LIVE, GO x40 LIVE, XL LIVE, GO LIVE 1000 series, GO LIVE 800 series, Via LIVE series, PRO 5150 TRUCK LIVE, Blue&Me TomTom 2 LIVE
- Tap Settings in the Main Menu.
- Tap Reset factory settings . Confirm that you wish to proceed with the reset.
- When prompted to select a language, press and hold the On/Off button until the device restarts and you hear the drum sounds. This can take 30 seconds or more.
- Select your preferred settings, then wait for a valid GPS signal.

In rare cases you may need to reset your device to factory settings. The steps shown in this video apply to devices that are updated using TomTom HOME. Note that a factory reset deletes all saved favourites and locations and we recommend to manually back up using this link .
