Before you can use LIVE Services on your built-in navigation device, they have to be activated. LIVE Services can only be activated if you bought your car with a built-in TomTom LIVE device* in any of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
In most cases, the car dealer will have already activated LIVE Services ready for you to use. If this hasn't been done yet, you will see the Activate LIVE button in the main menu on your device. If this button is visible but greyed out, you may be in an area where LIVE Services are not available, or you bought the car in a country not included in the list above.
* Check with your car dealer to make sure you have a built-in TomTom LIVE device.
Activate LIVE Services
To activate LIVE Services for the first time, do the following:

Switch on your car ignition.

Switch on your TomTom LIVE device.

Go to the Main Menu and select Activate LIVE .

You are asked some questions. Select Yes for each one.
You can now use LIVE Services for a trial period of three months.

If you wish to purchase LIVE Services after the trial has expired, click here .
NOTE: If you bought three years of LIVE Services when you purchased your car, this will start automatically when the trial LIVE Services period has ended.
