We release full updates to the maps of our TomTom GO Navigation app approximately once every month.
Next to that we release weekly updates for smaller attributes of the maps. These updates of only a couple of MBs only replace what is new compared to the old map, while deleting the old data. This removes the need to completely re-download the maps.
Weekly updates include the following:
- Speed limits
- Road closures
- Road direction
- Turn restrictions
- Open date for new roads under construction
- Close date for old roads being closed
Note: Weekly updates do not change the map version shown on the About screen.
