If you’re shown an error when trying to install a map, your iPhone has not enough space to install the map. The storage space required for the map can vary depending on the map region you choose to download.
If you are having problems installing a map, the following steps may be of help:
- Open the TomTom app and go to Menu > Maps > Add and note down the size of the map region you would like to download. Do not download any map before you followed the next steps.
- Remove other apps, videos, music and photos until you have freed-up at least 2-3 times the space of the map region size you noted down in the previous step.
- In the app on your iPhone, tap Menu > Maps > Add to add the map region you selected. The map is downloaded and installed on your iPhone.
