    Resuming a map download (TomTom HOME)

    This FAQ contains information that may not be applicable to your device. More information .

    To resume an interrupted map download, click Update my device again. Select your map and click Update and install . TomTom HOME then continues the download.

    If your download is complete but the installation is interrupted, you can install your map by clicking Add Traffic, Voices, Speed Cameras etc. → Items on my computer .

    If TomTom HOME does not resume downloading your map, you must manually delete the map from your documents folder and download the map again. Select your operating system from the list below to display the instructions:

    Windows 8

    1. Press the Windows logo key + D to show the Windows desktop.
    2. Right-click the TomTom HOME icon in the system tray and click Exit .
    3. Press the Windows logo key + E to open the Windows file explorer.
    4. Open Documents → TomTom → HOME → Download → temp .
    5. Delete the files in the folder temp .
    6. Start TomTom HOME and download the map again.

    Windows 7 & Vista

    1. Right-click the TomTom HOME icon in the system tray and click Exit .
    2. Click Start → Computer → Documents .
    3. Go to TomTom → HOME → Download → temp .
    4. Delete the files in the folder temp .
    5. Start TomTom HOME and download the map again.

    Windows XP

    1. Right-click the TomTom HOME icon in the system tray and click Exit .
    2. Click Start → My Computer → My Documents .
    3. Go to TomTom → HOME → Download → temp .
    4. Delete the files in the folder temp .
    5. Start TomTom HOME and download the map again.

    macOS

    1. In the dock, click and hold the HOME icon then choose Quit to close TomTom HOME.
    2. In the Finder menu, click Go and then choose Home .
    3. Go to Documents → TomTom → HOME → Download → temp .
    4. Delete the files in the folder temp .
    5. Start TomTom HOME and download the item(s) again.
