The TomTom Speed Camera services are tied to a paid subscription or to an embedded trial*. Once the trial or the subscription expires, access to the service will expire as well.
A device with an expired speed camera trial/subscription will no longer give any warnings or alerts for speed cameras during use.
If you stop receiving speed cameras alerts, it might be because your service subscription or trial has expired. You can check directly on your device if the speed camera service is still active or has expired.
*Newly purchased devices have an embedded free trial service, the duration of which can vary depending on the model.
To check the status of your Speed Camera service, open the Main Menu, select the question mark () and then select About.
Here you see if Speed Camera Updates are Activated, and you can tap the arrow to see more detailed information.
MyDrive Connect devices
Open the Main Menu, select TomTom Services and then select Speed Camera Updates. Here you can see if your service is activated, has expired or the remaining duration if the subscription is still active.
If your Speed Camera service subscription or trial has expired, you need to renew the subscription in order to continue to receive speed camera alerts. You can find the available subscriptions in our webshop.
If your subscription is active but you are not receiving alerts for speed cameras, you may need to review the alert settings on your device. For detailed instructions, see: About speed camera / Danger Zone alerts
