When navigating to a location in the UK or the Netherlands you should be able to enter full digit postcodes.
If you are only able to enter 4 digits, follow the instructions below. In this case you need to manually copy the postcode files to your navigation device.

Windows 8 & 10
- Download the file below and save it to your computer.

Extract the contents of the downloaded file by right-clicking the file and selecting
Extract all
. A folder named
zip
will be created.
Note : Open the zip folder. Some extraction programs may create another folder called zip inside the folder. If you see this, please open this folder also. The folder zip should contain the following files; Great_Britain.postal, Great_Britain.postal.ver, Nederland.postal & Nederland.postal.ver.
- Select the folder named zip containing the postcode files by clicking it once and then click Copy on the ribbon.
- Connect your navigation device to your computer.

+E to open the Windows file explorer.
- Select your navigation device by clicking it once and then click Paste on the ribbon. Note : The folder zip should be copied to the root of your TomTom device. This means not inside one of the folders.
Windows 7 & Vista

- Select your navigation device by clicking it once and then click Edit → Paste . Note : The folder zip should be copied to the root of your TomTom device. This means not inside one of the folders.
macOS
- Download the file below and save it to your computer.
- Extract the contents of the downloaded file by double-clicking it. A folder named zip will be created. Note : Open the zip folder. Some extraction programs may create another folder called zip inside the folder. If you see this, please open this folder also. The folder zip should contain the following files; Great_Britain.postal, Great_Britain.postal.ver, Nederland.postal & Nederland.postal.ver.
- Select the folder named zip containing the postcode files by clicking it once and then click Edit → Copy from the Finder menu.
- Connect your navigation device to your computer.
- Click the icon for your TomTom device on your desktop and then click Edit → Paste from the Finder menu. Note : The folder zip should be copied to the root of your TomTom device. This means not inside one of the folders.
