Some TomTom navigation devices have both, internal memory and a memory card slot. To switch memory in TomTom HOME, follow these steps:

To switch memory do the following:
- From the Device drop-down menu, click Change device .
A screen with the available memory locations opens. - Select the location to access.
Important : To use a new memory card with HOME you need to insert the memory card into your navigation device before you connect it to your computer. Switch on your navigation device and wait for it to boot. Then connect your device to your computer.

If no memory card is inserted, HOME accesses the internal memory of your device. If youi connect your devicde with a memory card inserted, HOME accesses the memory card.
To switch from internal memory to a memory card do the following:
- From the Device drop-down menu, click Disconnect device .
- Unplug the USB cable.
- Insert a memory card to access it or remove it to access internal memory.
- Re-connect your device.
Important : To use a new memory card with HOME you need to insert the memory card into your navigation device before you connect it to your computer. Switch on your navigation device and wait for it to boot. Then connect your device to your computer.
