If your Smart Media-System SD card is not recognised by MyDrive Connect, you need to initialise the SD card in your system.
Initialise your Smart Media SD card in your system
Follow these steps below to fix the SD card:
- Insert the SD card into the SD slot of the centre console.
- Switch on the Smart Media-System.
Wait until it recognises the SD card and shows that it's ready to use. - Safely remove the SD card from the system.
- On the main menu, select System, then Remove SD card.
- When prompted, tap Yes to confirm.
- Press the SD card in to release it, then remove it from the slot.
- Connect it to your computer and open MyDrive Connect.
- Update your SD card.

If MyDrive Connect still doesn't recognise your Smart Media SD card, try connecting it using a different computer or contact your dealer for SD card issues.
I have a new Smart Media SD card
To update the maps on your new SD card, you need to intialise the SD card in the system. Follow the steps above, then connect the card to your computer and use MyDrive Connect to complete the update.
