There are two ways of ensuring that your speed camera and danger zone alerts are up-to-date.
If your device connects to TomTom Services using your Smartphone or a built-in SIM card, you will receive Speed Camera updates over the air, provided you have a valid Speed Camera or LIVE Services subscription.
You can also download fixed speed camera locations when you update your navigation device. The steps for this vary depending on if your device is Wi-Fi enabled or if it needs to the program MyDrive Connect to upgrade.

GO Discover, GO Camper Max, GO Exclusive & GO Expert
For these devices the fixed speed camera updates are a part of the regular full map updates. They no longer show as separate updates but as long as you have the latest map installed and your Speed Camera subscription is active, the fixed speed cameras will be up-to-date as well.
Speed camera alerts are also available as a live service when the TomTom GO Discover, GO Camper Max, GO Exclusive or GO Expert is connected to mobile phone data.

Checking the status of your subscription
To check the status of your Speed Camera service, open the
Main Menu
, select the
question mark
(
) and then select
About
.
Here you see if Speed Camera Updates are Activated, and you can tap the arrow to see more detailed information.
Other devices that update over Wi-fi
To find any new speed camera updates, open the Main Menu , select Settings , then select Updates & New items . To manually update fixed speed camera locations you need to be connected to your Wi-Fi network and have an active Speed Camera subscription.

Note: If you are using a wired connection to your computer instead of connecting to a Wi-Fi network, you might see updates listed in MyDrive Connect. In spite of this, remember that you need to perform the updates through the menu on your device for it to get updated, even though it is connected to MyDrive Connect.
When you see the screen "Update device the easy way" in MyDrive Connect, open the Main Menu on your navigation device and go to Settings > Updates & new items .
Checking the status of your subscription
To check the status of your Speed Camera service, open the

Update speed cameras locations with MyDrive Connect
For devices that are not Wi-Fi-enabled, use MyDrive Connect to see what updates you are able to download and how long your subscription is valid for. Once a subscription has expired, you must renew it in order to receive updates to speed camera locations.

To update the fixed speed cameras locations on your navigation device, follow the steps below.
- Connect your navigation device to your computer. Switch on your device.

If MyDrive Connect doesn't open automatically, click the MyDrive Connect icon in the Windows notification area or Apple menu bar and then click
MyDrive Connect
.

If you are not already logged in, enter your email address and password and click
Log in
. You can select "Remember my email address" so you don't have to enter it next time.
You see an overview of the amount of available updates and, if applicable, any items which have expired or are about to expire.

Click
My Content
at the top left of the page.

Under MY SPEED CAMERAS, click
Update
on the speed cameras you want to update.
Note : This button is called Install if the speed cameras are not installed on your device. Click Install to install the speed cameras on your device.
MyDrive Connect downloads and installs the latest fixed speed camera locations. Once the installation is complete, you will see the message YOUR DEVICE HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY UPDATED in MyDrive Connect. Click Done to return to the MY CONTENT page.
- When you see the message on your navigation device that the installation has completed, disconnect your navigation device from your computer.
- Enable your speed camera alerts
You can now use your navigation device with the latest fixed speed camera locations.
Note : The speed cameras offered will depend on your map. If you have a map that covers multiple countries you will be offered speed cameras for each of the countries that TomTom has speed cameras for.
