For iOS devices
1. Update your devices
Ensure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. To check this: open iPhone Settings > General > Software Update.
For your navigation device, go to Main Menu > Settings > Updates & New Items. If an update is available, select it and tap Update now.
2. Set up the pairing between your iPhone and your navigation device
On your navigation device:
Go to Settings > Bluetooth > iPhone name and tap the cog wheel. Then tap OK.
On your iPhone:
Open iPhone Settings > Bluetooth and tap the (i) next to your TomTom device. Then tap Forget This Device.
Restart your iPhone by turning it off and then back on.
Finally, pair your iPhone and navigation device again.
For Android devices
1. Update your devices
Ensure that your Android device is running the latest version of Android. To do this open Android Settings, scroll down and tap System & Updates. Tap Software update to check for updates.
For your navigation device, go to Main Menu > Settings > Updates. If an update is available, select it and tap Update now.
2. Set up the pairing between your phone and your navigation device
On your navigation device:
Go to Settings > Bluetooth > Android device name and tap the cog wheel. Then tap OK.
On your Android phone:
Open Settings > Bluetooth > Connected devices and tap the cog wheel next to your navigation device and tap Unpair.
Restart your Android phone by turning it off and then back on.
Finally, pair your Android phone with your navigation device again.
