Congratulations on your new TomTom GO Wi-Fi device — you're ready to go. This guide helps you set it up so you can hit the road with the latest maps, software, and TomTom services. You'll also find the user manual at the end.
This range includes the GO Basic, GO Classic, GO Essential and the GO Premium.

Get to know your TomTom GO Basic, Classic, Essential or Premium
- Back Button

Set a destination
- Open the main menu.
- Tap Search and enter an address, a place name or a type (for example, a restaurant).
- You'll see address and cities on the left, and places and points of interest appear on the right.
- Tap on a search result to select it.
- Tap Drive to plan a route.

Save your favourite places
- Tap a map symbol, or press and hold on the map to select a location.
- Tap the pop-up menu button.
- Tap Add to My Places and give the place a name.
Your saved places appear as markers on the map. Tap one to start driving right away. You can also see and manage your favourites on your phone or computer at Plan.TomTom.com .

Pair your phone
Pair your phone to get live traffic, hands-free calling, and more TomTom services..
To set up the connection:
- On your phone, turn on Bluetooth® and allow personal hotspot.
- Open your phone's Bluetooth settings.
- On your navigation device, tap the menu button in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap Settings>Bluetooth > Add Phone > Next.
- Select your phone to pairing.

Easy updating using Wi-Fi
Your TomTom GO connects directly to your Wi-Fi network to get the latest maps and features. No computer needed.
Connect to Wi-Fi:
- On your navigation device, tap the menu button in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Select your Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your password, then tap Connect.
To get updates:
- Tap the menu button in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Updates & New Items.
- Select the items your want to update, then tap Update.

Install in your car
- Connect the supplied USB cable to the mount and the USB car charger.
- Plug the charger into the power supply on your dashboard.
- Push the mount firmly against your windscreen and turn the base clockwise until you feel it lock.
- Place your TomTom GO device in the mount, making sure that it clicks into place.
You could also use a dashboard mount disk (not included) to attach the mount to your dashboard.

Get there faster
- Control your TomTom GO with your voice. Say "Hello TomTom" in the map or guidance view to turn on voice control, then try: "Go home", Go to work" or "Go to a car park".

- Plan routes, check live traffic, and send your destinations and favourites to your device at Plan.TomTom.com.
