As a user of our products, we would like to inform you about an important update regarding our MyDrive mobile app. At TomTom we are continuously working on innovative products and making sure our software and technologies are industry leading.
The MyDrive mobile app is no longer compliant with our latest software and security standards and those of app store partners. Therefore it has been decided to discontinue the MyDrive mobile app. The app will be removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store by 22 January 2025.
What will happen?
After the above-mentioned dates, the MyDrive mobile app will no longer be available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
If you have the MyDrive mobile app already installed on your phone, you might be able to continue to use it and its functionalities. If you delete the app, factory reset your phone or purchase a new phone you will no longer be able to download, update or re-install the app. This means that the app and its functionalities will no longer work.
When will it happen?

You will still be able to use your navigation device and its main functionalities including real-time TomTom traffic, speed camera warnings and regular map updates. They will not be affected by this change. We do advise you to follow the steps described above to re-pair your device.
Models that offered See who’s calling and/or Smartphone messaging functionality, will unfortunately no longer be able to offer this feature as it requires a connection through the mobile app.
Why are See Who’s Calling and Smartphone notifications not coming back?
We have thoroughly analysed the user behaviour on our products and conducted research to understand the importance of both features. We have concluded that both Smartphone notifications and See Who’s Calling are only used by a very small fraction of our users and are not among the most important functionalities of our products. Therefore we will maintain our focus on features and innovations that are of higher value to our customers.
Are all devices affected?
All devices compatible with the TomTom MyDrive mobile app are affected by its removal. However, as explained above, the most important functionalities remain possible.
Can I still pre-plan a route and synchronise it to my navigation device or phone?
Yes, this remains possible in our new route platform. We invite you to check out our new online route planning platform Plan.TomTom.com which is based on our latest map technology. From there you can check traffic, pre-plan routes, and synchronise your routes, favourites and addresses to your sat nav. You can use your current TomTom account credentials to log in. Your favourite addresses will then also appear on the map.
What will happen to my MyDrive account and log in details?
To avoid confusion going forward, we have renamed MyDrive account to TomTom account. The login credentials remain the exact same and aren’t impacted.
Can I still perform software and map updates via the MyDrive Connect Desktop app?
The MyDrive Connect Desktop app will not be affected by this change. If you have a device that uses the desktop application for software- and map updates you will be able to do so.
